PROBLEM BASED LEARNING



11.  Problem Based Learning
                Problem is something that must be completed,Based can be also called as a beginning,Learning have means students as the object turns into a subject in the learning process (innovative learning).Problem based learning is one alternative learning model that allows the development of students’ thinking skills (reasoning, communication, and connection) in solving problems to deal with something new. The ability to think students are really optimized for the hone, test, and develop the ability to directionally thinking.Learning environment must be prepared in the PBL is An open learning environment, using the democratic process, and emphasizes the active role of students. And than some There are 8 steps, such as :
1.  Finding the problem
2.  Defining the problem
3.  Gather the fact
4.  Making hypothesis
5.  Research
6.  Rephrasing the problem
7.  Homologate alternative
8.  Propose a solution

v  Instructions for teacher in the learning with problem based learning
Problem Based Learning approach the students present their ideas to others and to understand and to guide teachers with new ideas in the form of concepts and principles.

v  Design roots in Problem Based Learning
Root of the design problem is a real problem in the form of a fact of life.
By Michael Hicks (1991), there are 4 kinds when talking about the problem :
1. Understanding the problem.
2. We don’t know how to solve the problem.
3. The desire to solve problems.
4. The believe is able to solve the problem.

v  Curriculum development and  curriculum planning in Problem Based Learning
Curriculum in the Problem BasedLearning :Mega level (the level),Macro level (the what),Micro level (the how)

Conclusion:Problem Based Learning is one approach that is used to stimulate’ thinking in a situation of high levels of oriented real world problem, including learning how to learn.
